Principle

I only collect data that is needed to run this website and to communicate with you. This policy follows the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and, where people in the EU or EEA are concerned, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Squarespace (Squarespace Inc., New York, USA; for the EU Squarespace Ireland Ltd., Dublin). When you visit the website, the hosting provider stores technical data such as IP address, date and time of access, page visited, browser type and operating system in server log files. This data serves the security, error analysis and operation of the website and is deleted after a short time. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running the website securely (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses and Squarespace's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Cookies

Squarespace sets technically necessary cookies so that the website works, as well as simple statistics cookies that count page views anonymously. I do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time.

If you subscribe to my newsletter, I store your email address in order to send you the newsletter. The subscription only becomes active after you confirm it by email (double opt-in). I use Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., Mountain View, USA) for sending. Mailchimp stores your email address, the time of subscription and information on whether an email was opened. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the end of every email or by emailing info@stefanialves.com. Your data is then deleted from the mailing list. See the Mailchimp privacy policy for details.

Contact by email

If you send me an email, I store your details in order to answer your request. I do not pass this data on and delete it as soon as it is no longer needed and no legal retention obligation applies.

Fonts

This website loads the fonts Cormorant Garamond and DM Sans from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd., Dublin). Your IP address is transmitted to Google. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a consistent presentation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Links to other providers

This website contains links to Instagram, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and luna-vita.ch. When you click them, you leave my website. The privacy policies of the respective providers apply there. Content from these services is not embedded on my website.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data stored about you, to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time and to object to processing. Write to me at info@stefanialves.com. If you live in the EU or EEA, you can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) is responsible.
